Despite my 30 years of construction experience, nothing makes me prouder than being a father of three wonderful daughters – Anniyah, Keyera, and Talleyah. They are what drives me to excel in every part of my life.
They ARE my inspiration for starting Zuri
3 Construction. The name Zuri is a Swahili term meaning "beautiful” and it rightly describes my three daughters, who I have been blessed to watch, raise, and guide. The passion and desire that I have as a Black American – is to lay the foundation, so that my daughters will have a fair chance, not only in the field of construction, but in whatever profession they choose.
***Black women make up less than 10% of the construction industry and this truly needs to change.
